Dedication from Start to Finish

Our dedication to healthy food, families and farms starts with the egg and ends on the plates of consumers across the U.S.

We’re acutely aware that consumers entrust us with the health and well-being of their families. That awareness is what drives us to make no compromises when it comes to the care of our chickens and our promise of safe, quality and truthfully labeled products.

Our vertically integrated excellence lets us control the processes and inputs every step of the way to ensure the highest quality experience and products. Keep reading to learn more about our leading practices.

Our High Standard of Animal Care is Certified

We recognize our ethical obligation to the health and humane care of our chickens—and we take that responsibility very seriously. From breeding, to hatching, to processing, our policy is straightforward—GNP Company has zero tolerance for any deliberate abuse or mistreatment of our chickens.

Each year, both of our primary production plants, hatcheries, ALL new family farm partners/grow-out barns, and a third of previously audited contracted family farm partners/grow-out facilities (randomly selected by AHC) are audited and graded against the more than 200 standards of the American Humane Certified Farm Program.  An independent agency conducts the audits.  An overall total score of at least 85% is needed to pass, and corrective action plans outlining steps to achieving full compliance provided to AHC for all scores <100%. See our policy and audit results.

Leading Food Safety and Quality

Food safety is a top value at GNP Company.  We are fiercely committed to meeting and/or exceeding the high food safety and quality standards of our customers and consumers.  This requires that we stay on the cutting-edge of food safety technology and regulatory compliance.

Our team of highly specialized food safety and quality experts work collaboratively with USDA-Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS) and the National Chicken Council (NCC), focusing on the science and technical requirements needed for success.

Strategic Customer Partnerships

We work hard to exceed the expectations of our customers, and build long-term partnerships customized to their needs. We strive to achieve a “perfect order” every time which means:

  • The right product
  • To the right customer
  • At the right time
  • At the right place
  • In the right condition
  • In the right quantity
  • At the right cost

And we promise to track and be transparent about our performance.

We will continually seek to add value-creating processes that simplify the customer experience and deliver leading food safety and consistent quality.

A Lighter Environmental Footprint

Healthy food, families & and farms are all dependent on the same thing—a healthy planet. We’re committed to measuring and reducing environmental impacts within our own operations and across our supply chain.

At our core, we understand that healthy farms are essential to our ability to produce food that nourishes and strengthens families. That’s why we work with our family farm partners to develop agricultural practices designed to meet the nutrient needs of crops, while minimizing the loss of nutrients to surface and ground water.

We are also working diligently to reduce environmental impacts within our offices, live operations and processing plants. Using what we learned from LCAs (short for life cycle assessments) conducted in 2010 and 2012, we’ve improved our understanding of the impact of our operations, and have developed 5-year planet goals in the areas of energy (emissions), water and waste.
