Production Trainer (Cold Spring, MN)

Position Summary

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Trainer is responsible for assisting in training team members as well as replacing the Process leads during vacations or absences.

  • Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
  • Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies such as Six Sigma, and participates in or supports the E$P program
  • Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.  Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.

Essential Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

 

Assists in the implementation of the training program in 2nd Processing.

 

Uses judgement to provide instruction and work direction to employees.

 

Monitors and administers employee training, motivating employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity allowing for a sucessful career at GNP Company.

 

Measures and documents employee performance providing information to process leads and supervisors regarding progress towards working at standard.

 

Learns all processing areas throughout their department.

 

Assists in the completion and maintenance of department processing and training materials.

 

Demonstrates skills learned through Leadership training courses.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • High School or GED strongly preferred.
  • 1 year of GNP Company experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak  English
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including; addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations
  • Ability to pass a Prove It Test
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Basic understanding of Excel, Word and Infinity
  • Ability to obtain a Pallet Jack license
